Shot Blasting Conveyor Belts

Wear-resistant rubber conveyor belting engineered specifically for shot blasting machines — built to carry castings, forgings, and steel parts through a continuous stream of high-velocity abrasive shot without the belt itself wearing through or punching. Designed and produced by our own mechanical engineering and rubber R&D teams.

Built by people who design the machines, not just the belt

A standard conveyor belt isn't built for what happens inside a shot blasting machine: parts sit on the belt while a continuous stream of steel or iron shot is fired at high velocity to strip scale, remove flash, or clean the surface before coating. That impact energy has to go somewhere — on an under-specified belt, it punches through, delaminates the cover, or wears a hole straight through the carrying surface far faster than any normal abrasion cycle. We approach this as a machine problem, not just a rubber compound problem. Our mechanical engineering team designs blasting equipment as well as the belting that runs inside it, and our rubber industrial research group works alongside them on compound and construction. That combination is why our belts are approved for use by shot blast machine manufacturers across China, and why we hold close to 70% of that domestic equipment-maker market.

What makes shot-blast-duty belting different

The engineering that separates a shot blasting belt from ordinary conveyor belting comes down to how the belt absorbs and survives repeated abrasive impact.

Impact-absorbing rubber compound

Formulated to take repeated high-velocity shot strikes without the cover cracking, pitting through, or losing its bond to the reinforcement layer.

Reinforced for punch resistance

Reinforcement is specified to the machine's shot media and throw velocity, so the carrying surface resists point-load punching rather than just general wear.

Sized to the machine, not a catalog default

Belt dimensions and construction are matched to the specific blast machine model rather than supplied as a generic universal fit.

Built for continuous duty cycles

Designed to hold up under the near-constant running hours typical of foundry and forging cleaning lines, not intermittent light use.

Machine types we supply belting for

Send us your shot blast machine's brand and model, or its belt dimensions and shot media, and we'll match or replicate the correct belt construction.
Common shot blasting machine configurations
Machine type Typical duty
Tumble-belt shot blasting machine Small-to-medium castings and forgings tumbled continuously through the shot stream
Hook-type shot blasting machine Larger or more delicate parts hung on hooks, belt supports the load path through the chamber
Roller/plate conveyor shot blast line Flat parts, steel plate, or structural sections passed through in a continuous line
Through-feed / continuous blast line High-volume production runs requiring belting rated for sustained, uninterrupted operation
Because shot media type, throw velocity, and part weight vary by machine and application, exact belt specification is confirmed against your equipment rather than sold off a single fixed data sheet.

Built for foundries, machine builders & surface-prep lines

If parts are being descaled, deburred, or shot-peened as part of your process, this is the belting category behind that machine.
  • Iron & steel foundry casting cleaning
  • Aluminum casting deflashing & cleaning
  • Forging scale removal lines
  • Shipbuilding steel plate pretreatment
  • Automotive parts surface preparation
  • Spring manufacturing shot peening
  • Precision & investment casting workshops
  • Structural steel fabrication cleaning
  • Shot blast machine OEMs & equipment builders
  • Maintenance replacement for existing blast lines

Common questions

How is this different from a standard wear-resistant conveyor belt?

A general wear-resistant belt is built for surface abrasion from sliding or rolling material. This belt is built for direct, repeated high-velocity impact from shot media, which is a different failure mode — punching and localized delamination rather than gradual surface wear.

Can you match the belt to our existing shot blast machine?

Yes — send us the machine brand and model, or the current belt's dimensions and the shot media you run, and we'll specify a matching or equivalent construction.

Do you supply belting for machines you didn't design?

Yes. While we also design blasting machines ourselves, the belting is supplied as a standalone replacement or OEM component for third-party equipment as well.

Does the belt construction change with different shot media?

Yes — steel shot, steel grit, and cast iron media all impact the belt differently in terms of energy and sharpness, so construction is matched to your specific media rather than treated as one-size-fits-all.

What information do you need to quote a shot blasting belt?

Machine brand/model if known, belt width and length, shot media type, and typical part weight or throughput if you have it.
