Why oil is harder on a belt than it looks
Ordinary conveyor belt rubber has poor tolerance for oils and organic solvents. Contact causes the cover to swell and erode: the surface colloid breaks down, the rubber structure loosens, physical and mechanical properties drop, and service life shortens well ahead of a normal wear-based replacement schedule. OR is the standard general-purpose oil resistant grade. MOR trades tensile strength and abrasion resistance for lower cost, suited to lighter oil contact. OHR is built for oily material that's also hot at the discharge point, with higher elongation and a rating up to +100°C for lump material.
